It all started when I noticed a painful lump near my anal area. I consulted Dr. Mitra, who initially prescribed medication to reduce the pain and asked me to return after a week. The pain reduced with the medication. During my follow-up visit, he suspected fistula symptoms and advised an MRI. The MRI results showed a simple fistula with a single internal tract.
Dr. Mitra explained the condition clearly and recommended a lay-open surgery, giving me enough time to think and decide. Once I chose to go ahead with the surgery, he helped me with everything, including insurance approval. I didn’t have to worry about any paperwork or procedures.
I was very scared about the surgery and the pain, but Dr. Mitra constantly boosted my confidence. Even on the day of surgery, he personally spoke to me and reassured me. To my surprise, the surgery was completely painless, and even after the surgery, I experienced no pain at all.
